The Mexican Cultural Institute Los Angeles is dedicated to presenting the expression of traditional and contemporary art and culture from the Mexican and Mexican-American perspective.

Dedicated in the historic Biscailuz building in 1991, MCILA serves not only the Mexican and Mexican-American communities, but all of the communities represented in the Los Angeles area. Since the inception of its current administration in 2013, our goal has been to bring high quality visual and performing arts programming that showcases the richness of Mexican culture and its relationship with the rest of the world.

Wayne Mejia Chair - Citrin Cooperman Beverly Hills
Wayne Mejia Has over 40 years of accounting experience, specializing in business management and tax planning for the entertainment industry. He currently serves as Trustee of The Dennis Hopper Art Trust and joined the board in 2014.
Jorge A. Serna President - Clinica Medica Teocali, Inc.
Jorge Serna is a Family Practice PA-C, and received his M.D. degree from the University of Guadalajara. He has over 25 years of medical practice experience, and is partner of Clinica Medica Teocali in Bell Gardens, CA. Jorge joined the board in June 2014.
Ulises Rodriguez Secretary - Independent Consultant, International Trade, and Business Consultant
Ulises Rodriguez is a Los Angeles, California-based international trade specialist and works as a private consultant in legal aspects and regulations in the process of import-export to the United States. Ulises joined the board in November 2017.
Joe Dieringer Treasurer - JMD Services
Joe Dieringer is owner of JDM SERVICES, established in 2010 to assist individuals and small business with tax preparation. Joe joined the board in 2012 as accountant and in the fall of 2015 was appointed Interim President and currently serves as Treasurer.
Luella Wagner Board Member - StudioTeacher-Children in Film
Luella Wagner is an educator, author, public speaker, and performer. She is a graduate of Boston University, UCLA’s Teacher Credential Program and holds a Master’s Degree in Educational Theatre from New York University. She has taught in 3 countries, an island in the South Pacific and on an Indian reservation in Montana. Luella joined the board in 2022.
Susana Ziarati Board Member - Wells Fargo Bank
Susana Ziarati served as the Glendale Branch Vice-President of Wells Fargo for 35 years. Born in San Luis Potosi, Mexico, she came to California in 1970. Ms. Ziarati attended Valley College in Valley Glen and received her BA from CSUN. She has served in various boards for other agencies, among them The Village Family Services and the CSUN Foundation. Susana joined the board in January 2016.
